Spooky crafting week 3 - Air Dry Clay Ghosts
This tutorial was sent to me a year ago, but I didn’t jump in until this year because there wasn’t a lot of time before the end of the season. I might start spooky season decorations on Sept 1, but I usually start cleaning up shortly after the start of November. Timelines are going to change as I start making some of these makes available to those who are not makers!
The live was lots of fun! We discovered that of the available air dry clays we tried, Sculpey was preferred over Crayola, which cracked while Shawna worked with it. But choose what you like, you don’t have to do anything my way.
Here is a link to one of the youtube tutorials. Overall, I am happy with this project and had fun making the ghost. I still need to decorate the one I made during the live, and I will confess that I had a little bit of trouble removing it from the mold. I also will use smaller bits to decorate with; the flower on his head looks kind of like a toupee. which could be a good thing, I don’t know.
Make sure you use a battery operated candle! We want to be fire safe around here, and Uncle Rodger appreciates it.
