Spooky Crafting Week 1 - Fiber Arts Ghosts!
Last night we had a lovely time both knitting and crocheting, depending on which art form was available to you. We made ghosts! RA Shawna made a tiny crochet ghost and I knit a somewhat larger version. Photos and links are below!
Shawna and I have been discussing having her collaborate on Friday Night Live Streams, and I am figuring out how to make that happen. My first suggestion is that she COULD teach me to crochet. Exciting things to come. We always want to craft together.
Since Shawna finished her project first, she gets the first blog photo! For this project, you will want to leverage this pattern.
It took me a bit of time to finish my project. Having to tink it didn’t help, but I was able to finish in one evening, and because I am extra, my ghost glows in the dark. To knit this one, you will want to use this pattern. The yarn is Lion Brand Glow in the Dark DIY and one skein is enough to make at least two ghosts. It was for me. This is not an affiliate link. I use safety eyes in my plushie patterns because I’m too much of a perfectionist to try and embroider them on. I need practice.
Next week we will be making fiber arts pumpkins! The knit pattern I am using is in the events notes, and I will now be following up after live streams with patterns and photos. I hope to see you on Friday at 5 pm Pacific at twitch.tv/geeceesworkshop and as always, I try to post on instagram @geeceesworkshop when there is something to see! (if I did every day progress on my projects, it would get very boring)
